Works by Gerry Giliberti and Dave Burns
“Photo-Technic” features works of different photographic techniques from two photographers, Gerry Giliberti, who is exhibiting prints of still lifes and flora created with the alternative processes of Lumen and Solar Plate Printing, and Dave Burns, who is exhibiting Infrared images of Serengeti wildlife and landscapes from various safaris in Tanzania .
A long-time Springs, East Hampton resident, Gerry Giliberti is a print-based photographic artist whose classical Fine Arts education also included printmaking, sculpture, painting, and illustration, that all laid the foundation for his unique ability to see simple images among complex textures. He is a member of numerous professional and art organizations including East End Photographers Group, East Hampton Artists Alliance, Southampton Artists Association, and Springs Improvement Society. Gerry Giliberti’s award-winning work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums and is part of many private collections.
Based in Boston, award-winning photographer, Dave Burns specializes in wildlife, travel, and landscape photography. Classically trained in the black and white darkroom, Burns presently works digitally from capture to print and also experiments with different technologies and approaches including infrared photography which he is exhibiting here. Dave furthers his love for global adventure and shares his familiarities through his photo safari tours company, providing clients with unique travel and photographic experiences in exotic locations such as the African Savanna. A member of the North American Nature Photography Association, Dave has exhibited in many galleries and his works are part of numerous private collections.
